How to Save Money at Lincoln Pet Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I brought my dog in a few months ago because she got into our 90lb dogs prescription flea medicine and we think she had eaten three tablets. Lincoln pet clinic got us in immediately and had her vomit up the tablets she ate, and good thing too! We thought she had only eaten 3 but she threw up 4 tablets which could’ve ended very poorly if we hadn’t caught it so early! The team at LPC are so friendly and understanding and took great care of my baby. Now she’s back to her normal self and I couldn’t be happier!

My cat got a fox tail in his ear. They got us in right away. The staff were incredibly pleasant, made you feel important. Everything was explained in detail to me. I was super impressed. I definitely will return for all my pets needs. The cost was very reasonable. I recommend them strongly.

Located near downtown Lincoln is a caring veterinarian office staffed with friendly receptionists, genuine vet techs, and very knowledgeable veterinarians. My dog is not an easy patient, yet they made him feel calm with speedy treatment. We have found our new vet and highly recommend this office to Lincoln residents.

Please read!!! THIS PLACE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMAL. They only care about your wallet! My 1.3lbs Yorkie died three days later after taking her to this place. I'm still hurting, devastated, heartbroken, and angry! My previous veterinarian was at Critter Creek in Lincoln, but I switched because the receptionists there were awful and unreliable, not to mention the high prices. Now I regret the move... Lincoln Pet Clinic has "good reviews" and that's why I switched. Trusting that good reviews meant good veterinarians and a good practice. But I was completely wrong and my baby Eevee paid the price. Eevee was one of four yorkies that I took that day, November 24th. 2023. She was itty-bitty tiny (1.3lbs), full of life, playful, and smart! The only problem she had at the moment was mild diarrhea. Plus she needed a puppy check-up. Here's what happened. When we arrived to Lincoln Pet Clinic, everything seemed normal. I went there with my whole family and everyone was able to go inside the room. However, because my whole family was there the veterinarian, Dr Bommi Reddy, decided to check ALL of my dogs in a different place OUT OF OUR SIGHT, perhaps the back room. I don't know where. I didn't see. I didn't see any part of the check up! Big mistake! Then, he finally comes into the room with 4 sheets of paper. One sheet per dog, and every dog had a LIST of things she or he "needed." Again, focusing on Eevee, the 1.3lbs yorkie, had a mild case of diarrhea. He didn't even ask anything about that! Only proceeded to read the list of prescriptions she apparently "needed". He prescribed her Metronidazole (that is NOT FDA approved, has side effects of diarrhea and is dangerous for young and small puppies). Furthermore, he proceeded to give her a DHPP shot, a dewormer called Pyrantel Pamoate, and advice me to give her Revolution flea and tick treatment the next day because a couple of "fleas were seen" on her. How?! We never saw any fleas at our house and he never showed us anything on her. Unfortunately, I trusted Dr. Bommi Reddy and his team. Now I regret trusting them! Dr. Bommi Reddy over loaded my 1.3lbs yorkie with medication. Her tiny body couldn't take it. She began acting ill November 26th, 2023, and I knew she needed immediate care. I took her to Atlantic Pet Emergency Center where she tasted negative for parvo and her kidney and liver leves were fine, but her sugar levels were extremely low. She spent about 17hrs under their care when she finally had a devastating seizure and passed away. Unfortunately, we couldn't test her toxicity levels because we didn't have the time, but based on all the medications given, and perhaps the doses being too high for her tiny body, she died three days later after going to Lincoln Pet Clinic! Why didn't Dr. Bommi Reddy treat her diarrhea first? Why didn't he treat one thing at a time? Why did he give her those doses? Is he not familiar with tiny dogs? This is a big case of MALPRACTICE! They treated her based on "puppy protocol," but not based on my 1.3lb puppy's protocol! Not all puppies are the same! If you love your dog or any animal companion please look somewhere else. I'm sharing my story in order to help you! I don't want you to lose your baby and feel the pain I'm feeling. I'm devastated and nothing will bring my baby Eevee back. Don't let this place fool you by their "good reviews." It's not worth it.

Yesterday was very hard for us as we had to make a very difficult decision when it came to the health and quality of the life of our canine friend. The office staff was so supportive from the front office people who helped us get signed in right away, to the vet tech who was so sweet and gentle with our dog. The Vet was very sympathetic and was able to discuss all possible options with us. While we had to unfortunately let our wonderful dog go, the office gave us time to discuss options and we never felt rushed. While we are still mourning the loss of our friend, we appreciate the professionalism provided by this office. Thank you again.
