How to Save Money at Rise Pet Health Emergency & Specialty Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I just wanted to say how much I appreciate Rise for taking such great care of my very nervous girl who wasn't feeling her best! My girl must have really liked the staff because she reportedly did fantastic with them!! She has been to some vets that she wouldn't let them touch her, but here she actually cooperated and apparently was very sweet with them! She liked the staff! What a huge difference that makes in the experience of such a nervous dog! Thank you soooo much! What a beautiful facility too! I love that the rooms are quiet and peaceful, which also helped calm her nerves! Sending her home with the cute bandana was such a nice and appreciated touch! She is still wearing it today, even though her visit was several days ago! We just love and appreciate it so much! So cute! Thank you! I highly recommend this place! Very knowledgeable and professional, as well as kind and caring!! 🐺🐺👧🏻

My elderly cat, Musya, began having trouble breathing. I initially brought her to Blue Pearl, but looking back, I wish I hadn’t. A day later, I took her to Rise Pet Emergency, where I learned she was gravely ill. She was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer, accompanied by a heart murmur and fluid in her lungs. The doctors were unable to save her. Dr. Eileen, Musya’s doctor, was exceptional—highly competent, knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly compassionate. The care and attention my cat received at this ER was beyond words. Musya was given 14 more days to live, allowing us precious time to say our goodbyes, hold her close, and make the most of every moment we had left. Though it was an incredibly difficult time, having that time with her was invaluable. It has been five months since Musya passed, and while my heart is still heavy with grief, I’m now able to write this review. After her passing, I received a thoughtful condolence card from the doctors and nurses, which didn’t lessen the pain of my loss, but it was a meaningful gesture that I deeply appreciated. Rise Pet Emergency is a compassionate and dedicated facility. This is a place where our pets will be cared for by people who truly want to help, with kindness and empathy.

After 12 beautiful years it was time to say goodbye to our beloved Doberman. We had it scheduled for a Monday at his normal Vets office. Unfortunately he wasn't able to make it through the weekend to his appointment. From the initial phone call the staff at Rise were polite, professional and compassionate. Walking in the door I thought we had entered a boutique spa. They welcomed us and made sure we were as comfortable as possible. They gave us a warm and cozy room (more of a living room than a vet exam room) to spend our last minutes with our puppy. Once we were ready the vet came in and put him to rest. They gave us more time and never did we feel rushed. Even when picking up his remains the ladies were so sweet and seemed to truly care. He was given back to us in the most beautiful manner. A regal ending for the King of our hearts. We can't thank them enough for the making this experience a little less painful. I highly recommend Rise Pet Health Emergency should you need any care for your pet!

My sweet little boy Jaxson became very ill and couldn't make the car ride to our usual vet. I took him to Rise and recieved the heartbreaking news that my sweet boy wasn't going to live much longer. They were willing to do everything to help him, but it would've only prolonged his pain. The entire staff, every single person, was so incredibly kind. I didn't want him to suffer, but I wasn't ready to let him go that day. The staff completely understood, gave Jaxson the most gentle care, made him comfortable so that I could take him home and spend the rest of the day and night holding him. The next day, my birthday, I took my handsome boy back to Rise to say goodbye. On the worst day of my life the staff were so kind and accommodating. They wrapped him up in a soft blanket and brought him to me. They let me hold him for as long as I needed before the end and after. I got home today to find a card in the mail from Rise. Every single staff member wrote a short paragraph conveying their condolences and words of comfort. The staff at Rise gave the best and most honest care for my sweet boy. I cannot express how much I appreciate these people other than to say I would whole heartedly recommend their services to absolutely everyone.
