How to Save Money at Aspire Veterinary Center
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
This was my first time taking my dog to Aspire and I will not be going anywhere else. The atmosphere was very welcoming and calm for my dog Mochi. I couldn't believe the amount of care and comfort that was given to her. From topical numbing cream to draw blood, sitting on the floor to take her vitals, and a comfy plush bed that she was able to rest while waiting for results and further treatment. Dr. Kellie Lam was so patient and kind when answering all my questions. There was no sense of urgency to push you out like some other vet clinics. Mochi is usually a very shy dog and is afraid of going to the vet but I could not believe how calm and relaxed she was during the examination. I have never felt inclined to write a review but the experience my dog and I had at Aspire Veterinary Center has to be known to the world. Thank you Dr. Lam and staff at Aspire Veterinary Center!

I made appointment to take a look at Dr Lam’s office of “Aspire Veterinary Center” in La Palma today, not happy with old vet any longer. I was so impressed with Dr Lam, her receptionist Laura and staff that I have made my decision to change. My reasons are that it is not Corp, you can be in room with your pet and like their idea of Acupuncture on pets along with the welcoming friendliness. 🐾🐾🐾🐾❤️

My visit to the vet clinic was to get my two kittens their physical and 12 week immunization shots. Upon entering the front desk to check in, I was greeted by the friendly receptionist, Laura. She directed me to take my kittens to the exam room. In the exam room, I was greeted by the vet tech, Gabby. There, she recommended I let the kittens out of their carrier and let them get comfortable by adjusting to the room/environment. Shortly after, the veterinarian, Dr. Lam, walked in and greeted us. She proceeded to dim the lights a little, claiming that would also help the kittens to relax. I did notice there were soft music playing in the room, as if I were at a spa. There was even a big pet bed for the kittens to rest on. I’ve been to many vet clinics in the past, never have I experienced an exam room with this type of setup. I was impressed. My kittens seemed to have noticed the environment of the room, because they were actually adjusting pretty well. I think the room was helping me as a pet owner to relax as well. While in the exam room, I did the necessary paperwork and answered a few questions. Dr. Lam gave the kittens some time to get acclimated. This certainly helped the kittens relax. I did not feel rushed. Some clinics don’t seem to value your time and spend very little time with you. Aspire made me feel like my time was important to them. Dr. Lam proceeded to give the physicals to the kittens. Next, Dr. Lam and Gabby administered the immunizations. Dr. Lam and Gabby did a great job as a team. They made the job seem easy and got it done in a timely fashion. I answered a few more questions and the visit was wrapping up. Dr. Lam and her team did an amazing job. They are friendly and professional. My experience at Aspire Veterinary Center was such a positive experience that I hope to continue seeing them for my pet’s needs in the future.

Dr. Kellie Lam and her staff were so nice and welcoming. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. My dog usually is terrified of visits but Dr. Lam was able to easily comfort him. Their appointments are actually on time as well. No more waiting around 30 min or more after your scheduled appointment time like other places. 5/5

Dr. Lam operates her practice like no other. With a clean center, friendly staff, and state of the art technology, she allows you to be with your pet at all times during the exam process. Instead of having your pet high up on an exam table, she will come down to your pet’s level on the ground or the big plush bed, sometimes asking for your assistance in holding your pet still during the exam, which I’ve noticed, eases the fear. With her gentle and calming demeanor, this makes for the most comfortable environment. I’ve taken my dog, Ziggy, to Dr. Lam twice so far and although he will still try and sneak his way towards the front door when the opportunity presents itself, I have never seen him more comfortable and calm at a vet’s office. At any other vet’s office I’ve taken him to, as soon as we would walk through the door, he would be resistant, tail immediately tucked, would start whining, and shake with fear, but at this office he was comfortable enough to relax, lay down, and sometimes take a nap. Dr. Lam has been supportive, honest, transparent, and articulate and has never pressured me into making certain choices. She is the only vet I trust. Thank you!
