How to Save Money at Beach Animal Urgent Care
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Absolutely top-notch facility and care. Brought in my cat when he consumed several inches of his wand toy string. The doctor did a thorough exam and clearly communicated options moving forward, did not pressure me at all for services. We did x-rays and then an ultrasound on-site. Thankfully there wasn't evidence of an obstruction but they took such good care of my kitty, he was very calm and not howling when he came out. The facilities are also gorgeous and comfortable for both animals and humans. This doctor knows his stuff with cats - highly recommend!

I just wanted to thank their team for their compassion. In my time of need they were patient and understanding. I felt genuine care for myself and my dog even though we were a random emergency from out of town. Beth is incredible and went above and beyond for us. You have left such a positive mark on me that shines bright on one of the worst days of my life. Thank you again 🖤

If I could give more stars, i absolutely would! I cannot express enough how grateful and impressed I am with Beach Animal Urgent Care. Our journey began with a new puppy, but unfortunately, he arrived sick. We had planned on making another vet clinic our puppy's primary vet, but with his deteriorating health and the other clinic being closed on Sundays, we were in desperate need of immediate treatment. In my search for a clinic open on Sundays, I stumbled upon BAUC and was pleasantly surprised to see their outstanding 5-star rating. I have rarely come across vet clinics with such consistently positive reviews, and now I know why. From the moment I contacted them, the staff at BAUC displayed an extraordinary level of care and compassion. I initially booked an appointment online for 6 pm, but my puppy's condition worsened, and I called to see if we could come in earlier. Marilyn, the Front Desk Support, was incredibly understanding and consulted Dr. Babcock, who graciously allowed us to walk in at 12:30 pm, suspecting our puppy might have Parvo. Unfortunately, our fears were confirmed, and our puppy tested positive for Parvo. The team at BAUC was not only understanding of the emotional toll but also the financial aspect of care. They presented us with multiple plans to choose from, ensuring that we could afford the best treatment for our little one. We eventually decided to hospitalize him for two days under their expert care. Throughout our journey, I researched extensively to find anything that could help our puppy recover from Parvo. Remarkably, the staff at BAUC was open to my suggestions and even shared their professional opinions, making us feel like a valued part of the treatment process. Dr. Babcock's knowledge and expertise in Veterinary medicine were evident, as he was up to date with the latest research and developments (we even discussed the same study about fecal transplants!). Beth, the nurse who welcomed us, is an absolute gem. Her genuine and heartfelt interaction with our puppy during such a difficult time was heartwarming. She showered him with love and energy, making us feel confident that he was in the best hands possible. Beth was there every step of the way, providing unwavering support and answering any questions we had. Her patience, energy, and ability to keep us laughing through this challenging period were exactly what we needed to get through it. Sean also went the extra mile by calling to check up on our pup, asking how he was doing, and if we had any questions regarding medications. Gestures like this make us feel valued and cared for as pet parents. Thanks to the dedication and genuine concern of the BAUC team, our puppy is now on the road to recovery from Parvo!! I am beyond impressed by their selflessness and commitment to the well-being of our fur babies. It's evident that they are not in it for the money; they are driven by their passion for animals and their genuine desire to see them healthy and happy. We have decided that BAUC will now be the Primary Vet clinic for both of our pups. Finding this gem of a clinic has been a blessing, and I cannot recommend them enough. If you're looking for a caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable team to take care of your furry friends, look no further than Beach Animal Urgent Care. Thank you, BAUC, for going above and beyond for our beloved pets!

I wanna thank all the team for taking care of my cat. Love to animals begins with small things like pheromones, windows in examination rooms and questions if my cat prefers to stay in a carrier bag or to examine the room. I am happy that I chose this place, where my pet not only got a help, but also was in hands which love animals. Thanks to all team members that you explained me as much times as I needed all details. I am happy to be your client and I am sure that it’s a great honour for you to work in such a great team. Dr. Babcock is an amazing specialist. Highly recommend to visit this clinic for any treatment needed.
