How to Save Money at Corona Animal Emergency Center
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Worst experience ever!!! Took my golden retriever in after midnight because he had a swollen eye and was having weird drooling and they took him back, charged me hundreds of dollars and told me all he had was "horners syndrome" and that it's normal for his breed. I asked for them to look in his mouth because he wouldn't eat and they said everything was fine and the "drooling was normal"! My dog was in so much pain, unsatisfied with this information I took him in to his vet the next morning and he had a huge abscess in his mouth causing the swelling. After receiving proper treatment he is almost back no normal not thanks to this place ! Just wants your money but won't even look at your loved pet. Stay clear. I can not believe they let him leave like this.

I went in about a week ago just for extra measure to make sure my dog was okay after he ingested stuff dogs shouldn’t eat. They took him in saying they were taking vitals then 3 hours later learned they were observing him, with an IV in his arm, which my partner and I did not know or approve of. Don’t get me wrong I was grateful at first, but the vet assistant came in to talk about price and she wanted to take care of him for 2 days which was SUPER expensive ($2,500). And when we refused because of the price their demeanor changed. They asked if I could get a special credit program , or ask family or friends to help with funds, they also made it sounds like my dog was going to die if I didn’t accept any medical treatment. The part that really made me write this review was when they said “oh we have a lot of dogs in at the moment so we are short staffed, but we recommend your dog to stay here to be monitored for two days.” How does that make sense? If you have too many dogs why are you accepting more to just sit in a cage and make sure he’s alive every once in a while? I’d rather my dog recover at home where he’s comfortable! Oh and on top of it all he came back home with fleas (so much for the cleaning fee they added on the bill, yes they charge when your dog defecates)! I get it, they need to make money but this place is overpriced and they know it. And the fact they make the most minuscule thing seem horrible is absolutely evil. I will say the vet is awesome, knows her stuff and is good with animals, but the other staff are really pushing you to pay an arm and leg. I recommend going anywhere else if you don’t have a bunch of money to burn.

We had to put our beloved Sam down. Everyone there was very sweet and patient and the Dr was awesome. The compassion of our Veterinarian was beyond expectations.

After driving around all night to different 24 hour emergency who wouldn't see my animal , this emergency center saw us with open arms. Everyone was so caring and understanding! I really liked the fact the Vet did not want to run lab work and x-rays right off the bat to run the tab up like most Emergency Vets. Hopefully it is not needed in the future however, I will continue to go to this location and will advise family and friends as well!! THANK YOU!!! This Emergency center is professional, kind, caring, understanding and VERY CLEAN!!!

I have taken my pets to almost every ER. Compared to *chain hospitals * they are open and honest. I have not had them keep my animal longer for funds like VCA or CVS. I always ask if it was your pet, would you continue treatment or let them go. They treated my Great Dane for bloat, my GOAT, snake 🐍 bites, dog fights. ERs suck financially, but for me, they have always been fair and honest.
