How to Save Money at Fond Farewell In Home Euthanasia
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Dr Jeni was the perfect choice for our at home euthanasia back in October. She gently guided us through the whole experience without interupting our greiving(a beautiful skill). Her presence and energy is very calming and empathetic, and we could feel the love she had for our dog, Noodle, even though she had just met him. She handled him and us with such care. We truely are so grateful we found her.

It has been a year since we said goodbye to our dear dog Mochi. We miss her every day and while we wish she would have had longer with us, we know we made the right decision to say goodbye. A large part of that was working with Fond Farewell, Dr. Jeni was incredibly supportive and kind to not only our dog but to my teenage son and myself as we went through the heartbreaking process of saying goodbye. Her competence and experience was very reassuring as well. A year later we know we made the right decision and are so glad we were able to do so with Fond Farewell.

Hi. I'm sorry if you are going through the heartache of letting your beloved pet go, but since you're here, please consider Dr. Jeni and Fond Farewell for a peaceful and in-home goodbye. After much research, I chose Fond Farewell for Zeppelin. He never liked traveling and hated going to the vet, so I hated the idea of his last memories being scared and doing something he clearly hated. On the day, Dr. Jeni assured us of every step. She was incredibly patient and kind. Most importantly, I got to hold my little guy with all my love pouring over him as he took his last breaths in my arms. I am so incredibly grateful to Dr. Jeni and her service- but most importantly, her empathy and comfort.

Our 17-year-old beloved terrier mutt, Libby, had canine cognitive disfunction. It was such a difficult choice to let her go because her physical health was still decent. When it was clear the time was right, I chose Dr. Jeni to help her and I couldn't be more grateful. We were so worried about her terrier energy "burning through" the sedation that starts the process, and Dr. Jeni explained how to use Libby's existing medication to get her calm before the appointment. It was perfect. Libby was actually asleep next to my husband when Dr. Jeni came in. Dr. Jeni explained everything and was so supportive of us. She let us take our time at every step. Our sweet girl didn't even feel the first sedative injection and was completely pain-free and surrounded by nothing but love in her own home. I hope when it's my time, I have an experience this peaceful. This is the most difficult thing I have ever gone through - Libby was my baby. The house is so empty without her, but thanks to Dr. Jeni, she is no longer in any mental distress. I will miss her forever and I will be grateful to Dr. Jeni forever as well.

Firstly, if you're here looking at these reviews, I'm so very sorry. 💚 My girl was the light of my life, my whole heart, my best friend. When her body started to fail her thanks to cancer, I had a choice to make. I knew that after 13 years of life with her by my side, the best final gift of love I could give her was a peaceful transition out of this world in her most comfortable spot, with us in our home. So I found Dr. Jeni and I'm so grateful I did. She arrived and not only explained everything to us, she also listened to my concerns about whether or not we were making the right choice for her current state. She told me her observations started the moment she came in and that if she didn't feel the time was right, she wouldn't do it. We had my mother on video chat and Dr. Jeni made sure to include her through everything as well. She let us take our own pace with our goodbyes, and was gentle through and through. And our girl, true to her silly pittie self, gave us all a laugh with her passion for all the treats we had for her. When it was time, the process itself was seamless and without issue. When it was all done, she tucked our girl into a bed with blankets, little flowers and a pillow so the last image I have of her is that she looked like she was just sleeping. Through the first week without her, I won't lie, I was in a very dark place. I remembered when in a moment of intense guilt that Dr. Jeni said to reach out so I did and her compassion and kindness helped to ease that terrible and awful guilty pain I was experiencing. I could go on and on about how grateful I am that I chose Dr. Jeni to guide my husband and I through what has been the saddest time of my life. You can just tell she takes this responsibility to her heart every day with honor. She really is doing soul work. Thank you so very much Dr. Jeni.
