How to Save Money at Better Health Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google

I’ve been to many vets over the years, but none compare to Better Health Animal Hospitals. The office is spotless, welcoming, and well-organized, and the staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. Dr. Yoo was the most thorough vet I’ve ever met—he took the time to explain everything in detail and made sure I understood my dog’s condition and treatment options. I never felt rushed, and it was clear that he and his team truly care about the animals they treat. After so many vet experiences, I finally feel like I’ve found a place I can fully trust. Highly recommend!

I honestly cannot think of a better veterinarian than Dr Yoo and his team of techs. My English Bulldog Morris almost lost his life due to a compromised airway. He’s my everything and I am forever thankful for Dr Yoo and his team. If you have a dog, especially a bulldog, Dr Yoo is one of the best doctors you can go to. From my knowledge he has had some of the best training and is very knowledgeable. His team of technicians are very passionate about what they do, efficient, and love all animals. My experience with Dr Yoo has always been smooth and welcoming. From the first phone call, appointment setup, and invoicing. Thank you Dr Yoo and the entire team for all that you guys do. You are one rockstar team and the only folks I trust with my son. I am very happy Dr Yoo has his own practice now. My buddy has a bad limp and Dr Yoo got to, once again, take care of him.

I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Yoo recommended to me a year ago when he was working at a different office. I have a French bulldog and as any bulldog owner knows not every vet understands them. Dr. Yoo does and my sweet Frenchie loves him and so do I! I highly recommend Dr. Yoo and Tami who works the front office is one of the most genuine and kind people you will ever meet. I waited for Dr. Yoo to start his own practice and I will never go anywhere else!!! The best!!!

My experience with Dr. Yoo and his staff was truly amazing. They had written the names of the pets scheduled for that day on the board and in the exam room, which made me feel like they were genuinely prepared to treat my dog. However, the main reason I gave them five stars lies elsewhere. My dog has been suffering from a skin condition for years. I adopted him from Korea three years ago, and the condition was only manageable with medication prescribed there. I used to request the medication whenever I visited Korea, but even that would only keep the symptoms at bay for a few days before recurring. I had visited several vets in Los Angeles but couldn't find an effective treatment, so I was considering taking my dog to a dermatologist. That’s when I heard that Dr. Yoo had opened his clinic, and I decided to take my dog there a month ago. I first met Dr. Yoo years ago when he was practicing in Los Angeles, and I had a good experience back then, but the distance had made it difficult to visit his clinic regularly. It’s now been three weeks since I started using the shampoo and spray that Dr. Yoo recommended, and my dog's skin has remained clear and healthy. While we still need to monitor the situation, I cannot express how grateful and happy I am with Dr. Yoo Throughout the entire appointment, he spent plenty of time assessing my dog and showed genuine care and dedication. I sincerely thank Dr. Yoo and his staff for their outstanding service.

We were so excited to hear that Dr.Yoo had opened up his own practice and we immediately made an appointment for our 2 frenchie boys. The office is extremely nice & clean and also has such a cozy feel to it as well. Tammy is an absolute gem & we love her heart for our pups. We also met Jess who we thought did an amazing job with our boys. Dr. Yoo is extremely knowledgeable & with his experience with French Bulldogs and amazing team, we are happy to call Better Health Vet, our new Home!!!! Thank you guys for all you do.
