How to Save Money at 24 Hour Emergency Vet
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Awful. I'd give negative stars if I could. My cat Joey was attacked by three dogs. The receptionists couldn’t have been be more apathetic. We had been waiting 30 minutes FOR TRIAGE when we saw on their whiteboard that another animal waited 75 minutes for triage and it looked to be the average based on their whiteboard. They took another animal ahead of us. Did I mention that Joey was attacked by three dogs? Then we got a text while we were in the waiting room telling us that the wait for triage would be even longer, because why would staff want to tell us all personally? My cat was in pain and we did not want him to wait. We could not even catch the staff’s attention for us to just point at the door as we were leaving. We went to another emergency vet and Joey was taken right back by triage and given pain relief. After that, I so totally did not care that we were there for six hours while they evaluated and treated him. I would happily have waited much longer than that once my cat was pain-free. My priority was that he get pain relief while he waited, not that he get immediate veterinary treatment, which I definitely did not expect. If he had been there for a nonpainful condition, I'd have expected to wait for triage, but my pet was in pain, and staff had zero compassion. I’ve seen more emotional engagement from an automated customer service phone tree. In fact, while we were waiting, a staff member in scrubs came out, said something funny to staff, and walked to the back again.

Our new puppy got very sick eating some so unknown no poison at the park. We brought him in and they took great care of him and the best part was the priceI was completely shocked it was too low. The staff was very friendly, expertise supreme and bedside manner on point given the panic most of their patients owners are experiencing. You may assume all 24 hr vets would act this way. But trust me they don't. This one is the best 24 clinics i have ever been to.

I had to put my sweet cat Bella to sleep here after a traumatic morning and the clinic finding out she had cancer that spread. The day was a bit of a blur and I wish I could remember the vet's name- I am so thankful for the compassion and understanding he displayed. I didn't get to bring my baby home that day but I know she was comfortable in the end. Thank you all for what you do.

When you have a pet emergency it's good to have a place to call or go to that cares, asks the important questions that you don't think about when an emergency arises. My sweet old fur baby & I were treated with the utmost respect & compassion when the decision was made to let him go peacefully. Top notch doctors & staff & my sweet boy's ashes were handled compassionately. The box they were returned in was unbelievably high quality & was unexpected. Amazing heartfelt gesture on their part.

We took our puppy there last Saturday morning. We called ahead of time and were told the wait was a half hour. When we got there more people had shown up so the wait was about an hour. It wasn’t bad because we waited in the car and they had covered parking. The vet tech and doctor were great! Helped my pup with fluids and meds. Their instructions were thorough. I was very impressed and may even use them as a regular vet. I’m so happy to have found this place so close to home.
