How to Save Money at Gilbert Queen Creek Emergency Veterinarian & Pet Urgent Care
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Our Cloak had an alarming nose bleed. We brought him into GQ Emergency. As we waited the bleeding continued. An employee came out & was immediately concerned & took us into a room right away. The attending staff were very patient & caring. Their communication was outstanding. The attending vet went above & beyond to clean his paws that were covered in blood. We had mentioned that we were having trouble cleaning his back area & she even cleaned that for us. Our Cloak is feeling much better. We are so grateful for the care we received at this facility!

OK I want to first off by saying anyone that has a negative review about this place about their pricing. Well let me tell you something having animals and pets is not cheap. I don’t want to pay for cheap animal care I want the best for my animals. You’re paying for an emergency vet clinic top-notch service probably the best in East Mesa. My dog was 18 years old was getting kind of sick woke up one Saturday morning and I had to go over there and unfortunately make the call to put him to sleep. This animal clinic provided the best customer service and emotional support that I’ve ever seen in my life. They took us through the side door and didn’t make us walk through the full lobby. The people at this animal clinic are very kind, loving and caring people. They don’t have easy jobs them self they wake up come to work and unfortunately have to do very emotional stuff that emotionally drains you. just because it isn’t there pet they’re putting to sleep doesn’t mean it doesn’t affect them. They even took the time out of their day and had the whole clinic sign a card mailed it to me, saying sorry for the loss of my dog. They could’ve sat there and told me to run 9 million different tests to try and save my dog but they were very honest and trustworthy people.I can tell you right now they don’t care about profits they care about running a clean state of the art veterinarian clinic to provide people with the best customer service ever with the best technology a clinic can offer. This is honestly the cleanest fresh smelling animal clinic that I’ve ever been to keep up the great lady’s thank you. Very much

This is THE BEST emergency vet that I’ve ever been to. I brought in my 9 week old kitten because she had been sick for a couple days. The entire staff was kind. Dr. Reilly was very pleasant and SO GENTLE with my tiny little baby. She listened to all of my questions and concerns and started a treatment plan right away. I never felt pressured to run unnecessary tests or or like they were trying to get every dollar out of me that they could. I 10/10 recommend this hospital! I will not go anywhere else. If your pet is experiencing an emergency event please trust this hospital to help. Please don’t wait to try and get them to your primary vet especially if it is a weekend or after business hours. It is definitely worth a little extra money to save your pets life. Emergency hospitals have equipment and on site testing that many traditional clinics do not have. The staff is specifically trained to provide emergency care and handle extremely stressful situations. You won’t regret giving your pet a second chance but you will definitely regret not giving them one. Thank you Dr. Reilly and staff ❤️

We had never had a pet emergency before, so when we suspected our pup had a bowel obstruction we found the closest place to bring him. GQ emergency was so clean and everyone was soooo friendly. Considering we came without an appointment, everything went very quickly. Our dog ended up needing surgery overnight and we were updated with a phone call and even a photo of him in the morning. I highly recommend this place! We are so grateful our dog was well taken care of.

My little guy had some changed behaviors that I noticed after returning to dinner, he got sick then continued to keep his little back leg. He wasn’t being himself and that was very obvious. The next morning we headed into GQERVET. We got seen pretty quick which was nice. They let me know what was wrong, and what the plan was. I was shocked my guy was needing to be put under, but they let me have some time with him before they took him back which we both thoroughly enjoyed. The nurses and doctors were all awesome and kept great communication and answered all questions I had. I absolutely would recommend this place, they care about their patients and it shows. He is now on the mend and doing so much better 🐾💖 I want to also shout out my tech who was truly one of the best. She kept me calm and she could tell how much my little man meant to me. I truly wish I remembered her name because she deserves all the recognition in the world. Ritchie and I truly appreciate this tech we had, along with the rest of the staff.
