How to Save Money at Trilogy Veterinary Medical Center
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the front desk, got my pups weight and taken into a room so my guy could feel more comfortable. The nurse came in quickly she listened to all my concerns, she asked all the right questions of things I may have forgotten. She left and then the vet came in and she was amazing. She looked at my pups paw then gave him a full body look over and found things I never would have found at least things I hadn’t found. She talked to me about all the issues, explained them in detail, and I was fully aware of what needed to be done. They left took my pup got and got him all fixed up. While she was fixing him up the nurse came back in with a write up of all the things that needed to be done and how much each thing cost. I was not pressured whatsoever I felt completely comfortable saying yes this and no to this. Some things that were less pressing I chose not to do. Everyone was so kind, I left feeling so confident that my little guy is in great hands when we have to return. This will be our permanent vet. Thank you to everyone who works at Trilogy for making us feel so welcomed and comfortable.

Went in for a dog ear hematoma. I was given options for treatment, and I wanted to do the tube option so my dogs ear could drain itself. They did not do what I asked and now my dog has permanent ear damage. I didn't know until later because my dog was in a boarding kennel for a couple of weeks. I specifically asked for the tube method, not just a simple drain. They charged me 500 bucks to drain blood when I wanted to fix the problem the best way to avoid cauliflower ear on my dog. This place doesn't listen, and now my dog has a permanently damaged ear. I'll never be going back and will be going through management on getting my money back. Went to another vet and was told the tissue is too far damaged and healed. that there nothing to do but let it continue to heal on its own.

I have been very pleased with Trilogy. Both the staff and the vet that we have seen, at the practice, have been very kind, attentive, and professional. They really seem to care about my pet and making sure they provide options for her care. They provide an itemized breakdown of charges before any services are completed. I was actually referred to Trilogy by my then vet because they did not have any appts available and my dog needed to urgently be seen as she was having an allergic reaction. I have been happy with the care and how quickly I can schedule an appt, so I have switched to Trilogy. Best Regards, loving pet owner

Dr. Hanson and staff at Trilogy Veterinary Medical Center were professional, caring and very compassionate with my pet cat of 8 + years, Valencia. I am so grateful for their ability to care for her promptly as she stopped eating and loss a lot of weight suddenly. The staff also made follow up calls the next day to check on her. Thank you so much!!
