How to Save Money at Tidmore Veterinary Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

They was great actually but I can say don't call asking about prices because I was going in assuming I would be paying 150 maybe a but more and when I came out she charged me 2 times that and didn't wanna let me sigh a promise note I'm not the riches person in the world and I just wanted my animals to not be sick no more and for someone to help me and trust me with my payments and they ended up embarrassing me and all over the payment which isn't wasn't the doctor he was great it was the secretary so don't deal with her when you go or if you go . The one pic is what came out of my small dog and I needed more work done than money I had and I got totally embarrassed she ran the amount for the whole thing and I had to pay fees and then she said I'm so sorry and I hope I didn't mess you up knowing she did and what she was doing so but don't let what I'm saying affect you using them the vet was amazing he was a great guy and had great knowledge just the front secretary. Have a good day .

We have used Tidmore Animal hospital for many years. So far back that I knew Dr Tidmore when he did his internship with Jordan Animal hospital. Now the personnel at Tidmore are the absolute greatest in caring on my animals and I know that they will do the same for your animals. My current vet at Tidmore is Dr Shepers a compassionate vet who has my dog’s health and best interests at heart. He has answered any and all questions I have asked him about my pet. Thank you Tidmore Animal Hospital for being at our needs when the need arises

As I walked in for my appointment, I was not greeted by the front desk. I was mislead on the price to be seen. I was told one thing over the phone, not once but twice as I called to make the appointment. I questioned the price as I was checking out and she stated that she didn’t know when I called but their prices went up, I informed her that I called Saturday and the day before appt. She Continued about her business and didn’t not assist me any further. Not only was the front desk unprofessional the back was also, I had 4 pups declawed and tails docked, they did not explain to me if sutures needed to be taken out or if they would fallout/dissolve. I was very disappointed in the service. Maybe a bad day for the clinic but it ruined me from coming back. My vet was unable to the procedure due to be out is the reasoning for coming!

We used this veterinary clinic as ours was closed. They were friendly, professional and very compassionate. They acted like we had been there for years. They are more than 5 stars for us! We are so very thankful they took care of our precious Lucy!
