How to Save Money at Red Mountain Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I don't have the time to my Husky to the vet during the week a majority of the time. I glad they have Saturday openings. It's convenient.Sidenote, Tell your techs to acknowledge the owners when they walk into the exam room. A simple hello will do.

I stopped talking my dog to this shi…… center year a go! Then had the same mistake and visit them again!!!!!! no price list at the reception area so clients could see the prices. So, they play the way they want. They just want your money. they don’t care about anybody’s pet plus they want to do to your pet what they want to do! not what you’re animal need!!!!! Money…. Money…. Money then money. That is all what they care about I asked them just to treat my dog’s leg because she was in pain!!! They rejected to treat my pet unless I accept everything mentioned in their estimate which is $541. Known, my dog has all needed vaccines for her first year. The vaccine mentioned at the estimate is optional then they make it mandatory. Which is not.! At the end, I’ve been charged $65 for examination and five dollar for buying hazard waste fee=$70 for nothing service + never been informed about examination fee + no price list + I asked the lady not to do anything before I know how much I will pay. I feel I’ve been cheated by them. Nothing did to my pet. She still in pain. This center will be responsible for any complications or anything happened to my pet. I wish if I could complain it to any related government department to be punished..

We have been taking our dog to Dr. Williams since he was 3 months old, and he has consistently met our expectations and provided excellent care for our aging pet. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always helpful. When PetSmart was unable to assist our dog, Dr. Williams and his team went above and beyond to meet our dog's needs, including grooming and other services. Despite some hip problems common in larger breeds, our dog still has plenty of energy and is a happy senior pup. We have been seeing Dr. Williams for 12 years now, and our dog will turn 13 in less than a month.

My 3 doggies got their first ever dental cleaning done here and I had a great experience! I’m actually from out of state so taking my dogs to a new vet where they would have to go under anesthesia made me incredibly nervous. But RMAC did such a good job! Their teeth look BEAUTIFUL and their stinky breath is COMPLETELY GONE (and they’re 6-7 year old chihuahua mix breeds that had never had a professional teeth cleaning so they had some stinky breath)! Absolutely worth the money. I had requested they call me with an estimate of what the bill would be prior to starting care and was promptly called with a price breakdown. They accept care credit and offer a 10% multi pet discount for their services. Their dental cleaning package also came with a teeth cleaning solution that you add to their water to keep their oral health in tip top shape(: they also trimmed my pets’ nails (which I was going to ask them to do but completely forgot to), so that was a WONDERFUL surprise.
