How to Save Money at Hope Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Saturday morning our beloved 5 yo stray baby showed early signs of urinary obstruction again. He was hospitalized the Saturday morning before in our local emergency vet (which was very expensive for 2 nights) and 3 days with our family veterinarian. He’d been home for 2 nights and we were panicked and knew we just couldn’t afford another emergent facility. After calling every local vet that was open and being turned away sometimes politely and sometimes not so. I reached out on social media knowing most of my friends were animal lovers, fosters and rescuers. Several of my friends recommended Hope and I phoned. It was 45 minutes away and closed before lunch. I have never seen such a wonderful operation. I became very aware that all those working there truly were concerned about our dear Hank (“Bocephus”). Hank was taken back and seen by a vet in between surgeries and soon the vet came out to instruct me on how to care for Hank and hopefully see him through this struggle. Affordable, efficient, caring and professional!! I shall never forget the care and courteous we were shown. I currently have 3 kittens and their abandoned mother in our care they will be traveling to see Hope soon for their care. I can’t say enough to express the relief I felt leaving their facility. Hank is well and on a diet to help avoid future flares. ❤️❤️

I take my mom with her senior cat every 2 months to Hope Animal Clinic. She used to go to another vet clinic but the price was astronomically higher. Missy gets the best care for 1/3 of the money. My mom says that she takes her for her 2 month Bravecto flea protection. But my mom is so protective of her little senior girl. Dr. Fuller is amazing and the rest of the staff always treat us very good. I have too many cats to give a number and I am treated like the only customer. Any and all questions are answered. Very pleased with Hope Animal Clinic. Recommend.

We absolutely adore the Hope staff and Dr. Fuller! We rescued two strays off the side of the highway that had been hit by cars at different times. They have worked so hard for these dogs and even worked with us on the financial aspect because of them being rescues and how much surgery costs. Dr. Fuller is compassionate, great about explaining things and making sure owners feel comfortable and understand. The office staff has always been helpful in making sure call in donations were accepted and answering my questions when I have them. We are so thankful for Hope!

The best place to take your fur babies. We switched from another clinic and I’m so glad we did. The love, care and personal time and attention that you get here is unmatched anywhere. We have three dogs and I wouldn’t trust the care of them with anyone else. 100% worth the drive for us!

Edit to update: The issues have mostly been fixed, I’m pleased to say. Old review: The vet is always great. I’ve always been very pleased with the service they’ve given my pets. I have zero issues with the medical cars. Their office management, however, needs a great deal of work. Back in 2020, they began using Covid as an excuse not to allow people into their lobby, and to force people into their inefficient drive through system. Their website as of mid-2022 still lists the governor’s orders from 2020 as the rationale. You just sit in a line and wait forever. The picture below has been my view for the last 20 minutes, with zero movement. I’m not the only person who has pointed this out, and you usually get a response now with the reason being staff shortages instead of Covid. I’m sorry, but at some point (after years) that stops becoming an excuse to hide behind. Fix your business. This isn’t working. Stop making excuses. Reopen the lobby, and leave the drive through for things like picking up medicines.
