My regular vet recommended I transfer my sick dog that needed higher level of care to this clinic. They were able to see her right away and discussed my options from best to worst case scenario. My dog had not eaten in days, had an upset stomach and was so weak she could not walk. She had already had blood work and X-rays done at her regular vet without finding why she was so sick. This clinic was able to keep her overnight medicate her and do ultrasound which pointed to her needed surgery the next day. She ended up staying for multiple days until she was able to start eating, drinking, and walking on her own. I was quoted for the initial first night of stay and meds or tests needed and then had another quote for her surgery which had a low to high range pricing for everything she could possibly need post op (covering multiple days of care, complications, and other medications). Luckily they had financing options through another company and the process was very smooth and the front desk was able to communicate with the financing company to combine my two separate quotes into one financing plan the next day. I had been so worried for my dog but everyone at this clinic was very helpful and made me feel a lot better about my dogs prognosis. I was able to visit my dog regularly throughout her stay and speak regularly with the vet on shift. This clinic can get busy sometimes with emergencies but if I requested to speak with the vet on call they made an effort to meet with me as soon as they were available even just for small updates or concerns and I could call at any time to ask about how my dog was doing. The vet also called every morning with updates and my dog was discharged only after I felt comfortable with being able to care for her at home. It has been just a few days and she is already doing great and getting back to her normal self (last pic). I am so grateful for the care she received I would recommend them for any emergency.

This is the first medical / vet experience I’ve had where everything the Dr. told me went the opposite way. I brought in my healthy 8.5 year old therapy dog with a gastrointestinal blockage. Surgery was performed and went as according to plan per the vet. Next day my otherwise healthy dog is having elevated kidney levels and labored breathing. It was at that time I should have made the decision to escalate her care to Blue Pearl where I have successfully recovered multiple animals from life saving surgeries. The Thrive vets on duty said they were treating everything aggressively and waiting for more X-rays etc. Then I get notified she has possible pneumonia and labored breathing. And elevated kidney levels. I ask if I need to escalate my therapy dog’s care to Blue Pearl to perform any necessary life saving treatments or better care for her current condition. I requested Thrive vet confer with Blue Pearl. Shortly after that request I get a call back from Thrive vet that Blue Pearl says they’d be doing the same thing that Thrive is doing. That’s what the vet said, so I believed it. Next thing you know my dog is going downhill fast and I had no idea the severity or the fact that lifesaving treatment and measures were not being taken at Thrive. Looking back, I am uncertain why my dog died - elevated kidney levels side effect from surgery? Ok - what’s the course correction and medical treatment for that? Why was it not done? Then pneumonia - what is the course correction and medical intervention for this immediately. I have unfortunately taken 4 of my dogs in for emergency life saving surgeries and this is the only one who did not live. The other 3 surgeries were performed at Blue Pearl and went as predicted by the vet and all dogs recovered and survived. I think this vet neglected to care for my dog at the level she needed and therefore resulted in her death. This is not a critical care facility. This is emergency room and emergency room only. My dog needed ICU and they should have advised me after her surgery was performed to transfer her to blue pearl for recovery. I have no idea how my dog went from successful surgery with complications to dead in a matter of 48 hours.

We went in with our 4 month old kitten Kronos for what we feared was a broken paw. The staff was absolutely amazing, super sweet, so friendly and so so helpful. They took care of us in a timely manner and above all else they were affordable and quick. Highly recommend this vet for any emergent needs with your fur babies!

My daughter & her husband took their dog here for an emergency rattlesnake bite. They only went there because they were told they had the anti-venom. If you have the choice to take your pet somewhere else then I would advise to do so. They were not sympathetic at all and only cared about getting the money. They just let their poor dog suffer and sit in his own blood and drooling all over himself in excruciating pain until they had full payment. After frantically getting approved for a credit card to pay them the staggering quoted amount of $2700-$3700, they still took their sweet time to begin treatment because after paying, signing paperwork, asking questions about treatment and waiting to be taken back to say goodbye to him they still hadn’t started to help him and when my daughter asked isn’t it best to treat a snake bite as soon as possible they said no time doesn’t really matter, after some research we have found that it most definitely matters! They are thankful that their dog is getting better everyday because he received the anti-venom and they would have come up with the money one way or another but maybe the necrosis that occurs from a rattlesnake bite would have been less if they would have started the treatment faster. The only positive thing about Thrive at least in my daughters case is that they had the anti-venom in stock. I know everyone has different experiences and opinions about treatment and service at different places but I hope the workers see this review and know that these people who bring their pets there for treatment are going through such a hard time and they should have a little more compassion and at least act like they care that the pet is in pain and do something about it faster. I know they see pet’s hurting every day and have become numb to it but the parents of the pet they just want to help their baby. I’m posting this because my daughter is kinder than I am and she wouldn’t make a negative review because they did in the end at least save her dog.

I brought my dog in for emergency vet care and they were absolutely phenomenal! They got us right in and they were so reassuring. My dog was having what I was sure was a stroke. Trouble walking, couldn’t hold her head up straight, falling all over herself. She improved a bit by the time we got but wanted her to be seen as she was still somewhat symptomatic. Dr Verdi was wonderful and the techs and reception couldn’t have been more caring and supportive! She ended up having a slipped disc and has been on supportive pain medications that have helped immensely. She’s back to herself and being kept calm and resting! I cannot recommend this place enough!! Our regular vet couldn’t get us in and everywhere I called couldn’t get us in or didn’t answer the phone. They picked up on the first ring and told us to come in right then! Bring your pet here!! You won’t regret it!!
