How to Save Money at All Feline Hospital

Schedule Regular Vet Visits

One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.

Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions

Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.

Pet Insurance

Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Getting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask

Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:

Tell me about your experience with [pet type].

Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.

How do you handle emergencies?

You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.

How do you communicate with pet owners?

Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.

Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?

Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.

Do you have any questions for me about my pet?

This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.

Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?

Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I've brought several cats to this vet over the years and it has been a great and hassle-free experience each time. The cats I've brought in have ranged from a very calm and well-behaved kitty to a cat that wasn't so happy to be there and the vets were fantastic each time. I've had to bring cats here for general check ups as well as more serious concerns and everything was explained well. Will continue to bring cats here for the rest of my days.

This place is amazing! They go way beyond just the normal standards for care. Honestly, I can't even believe this is a real place. It is a dream come true to have an office so committed to or little Bones (cat). I truly believe that they give him as much love as we do. And he is the king of our home. Thank you all!

I used to be super impressed by this place but it has been one of the biggest disappointments in the last few years I can't even get my cat into get a rabies shot..... seriously a shot that would take what 5 minutes .....WTH anyway sorry I gave my business to you for the last 10 years Good thing there are many good options in Lincoln for my aging cats. I gave them a 5 star for years but I would give them a zero if possible just for customer service and loyalty to decated customers Id love to have the OWNER contact me instead of leaving some lame response. Reading your comment ..I guess you chose the lame response but that's okay I guess that makes you one of those people easily offended that Id rather not patronize anyway 🙀 and as for your receptionist I think if people would read on to a few more comments they might understand that there's two sides to the story I tried to get Oscar in for 3 months for a rabies shot and never once did they tell me that I would have to bring him in the afternoon and drop him off until this time ...yes that upset me and I think it's ridiculous that I would have to drop a cat off for a 15-minute visit and then drive halfway across town to pick him back up because you know what I wouldn't drop my kid off at the doctor's office either and drive away .One more thing Id like readers to see A very good friend of mine brought in an older cat and had 6 teeth pulled her bill was $600.00 I have a quote from your office that you thought Oscar might need a tooth pulled he was 19 years old on Sunday 10/5/24 you Quoted $700. for one tooth $1,100 for two how where you planning on extracting this tooth through his anus? People there are good vets out there I found a 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for my babies. This place was good at one time before you came along I wish you would have stayed at the cat house

I had to board my 4 kitties at the All Feline Hospital when I was making a move. They were absolutely wonderful to work with. The vets and staff took such good care of my kitties that i almost think the kitties would have been happy to just stay with these great people indefinitely😸. Many thanks LuAnn Detwiler
