How to Save Money at Victory Veterinary Clinic

Schedule Regular Vet Visits

One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.

Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions

Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.

Pet Insurance

Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Getting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask

Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:

Tell me about your experience with [pet type].

Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.

How do you handle emergencies?

You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.

How do you communicate with pet owners?

Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.

Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?

Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.

Do you have any questions for me about my pet?

This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.

Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?

Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Love Victory Veterinary Clinic. They are so sweet to my kitty Gertrude. She has had all her vaccines there and gets a pedicure once a month. Highly recommended!!

Final review: Okay people last update on Lynx and then I'm scheduling a check up with Victory, can't thank the vets enough for their help in finding out what was wrong with our cat. She literally could not walk or use restroom on her own after coming down with a horrible respiratory infection. Dr. Malta prescribed clindamycin and it has worked wonders for her. She's doing cat stuff now! Check out the pix to see how this journeys been... this is such a great day. God is so good, many prayers and the right doctors! I won't lie this has been a struggle and we really were not sure if she was going to make it, we prayed over her continuously and we kept giving her the medicine, if you are facing similar situations I'm here to tell you prayer works and trusting that medication just takes some time. We want results so fast and it doesn't always work that way. Lynx is a true survivor. 2nd review: Update on Lynx! She's doing a lot better and her respiratory infection has cleared up completely. She did end up having trouble walking but the meds she's been given seem to be helping! 1st review: The doctor's here are awesome I brought my cat Lynx in and they were able to diagnose, treat and be so understanding! Thank you so much, tonight's the first night she's really eaten anything in many days! She's getting better and better each day, God is good! Time Frame of illness ** Problems been going on for a month and half.. respiratory infection cleared up within 2 weeks and walking improved within 3 weeks**

I absolutely love this place! The doctors and staff are amazing. The amount of compassion they exhibit clearly comes straight from the true nature of God's love. “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.” Colossians 3:12-13

Still have to see.. first visit .. went ok, need to get to know the vet better. Very polite staff, I do have one issue, I often have with my prior vet, when I buy my revolution, they either deny or take to long. This case I submitted it July 3, so I figured July 5 it should been approved, but apparently it’s still pending waiting on answer from the Vet. I just found it cheaper to buy through Koala Health than local. They have an awesome sale on all flea tick products 50% off ..

The best clinic! They have been looking after my babies for a little over a year and I've only had good experiences. The staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Parker has personally called me to answer questions on multiple occasions, and I trust her and Dr. Malta to take care of my babies. I find their prices slightly more reasonable than other clinics, but I love that everyone is very hands on here.
