Veterinary Specialty Hospital Roseville

Great staff! Excellent care for fixing our dog's 3rd eyelid (did you know dogs have 3rd eyelids?!?). This was our 1st time visiting this place, and it will be our last. This literally was the location's last day of business. They moved across town to a bigger location. This is a 24hr pet emergency facility, so they must feel justified to charge more. I get it, us pet owners will shell them out to care for our furry friends. It would be a 5 🌟 but I'm still trying to get over the sticker shock.

And overall good experience, but be careful of extra charges. One thing the staff did great at this pet emergency center was take my dog in and he was seen right away! It may have been due to his breathing symptoms, but there was no waiting to have him seen and I was room to very quickly. Overall I felt the care was great, but I insisted on not Getting extra treatment and medicine that I felt was unnecessary and we already had at home. I was also pressured and forced to sign a waiver that I declined having my dog hospitalized in an oxygen chamber for two days that was going to cost an extra $4000. I also had to stop them from giving him fluids under his skin when he was drinking water, fine, and charging me a ton for some stomach acid medicine that we had at home. He has been recovering fine since. I think they had perfectly reasonable medical reasons to keep him in an oxygen chamber for two days, but I really didn’t feel like they had discussed it with me having an unbiased opinion. I felt like I was heavily pressured by the assistant, who did not seem very knowledgeable about the whole situation.

Atlantic Street Pet Emergency Center Vets and staff did a fantastic job of caring for my 11lb. dog Rocky, who ingested the contents of a "Bed Buddy" sending his system into distress. Rocky and I were both treated with kindness and compassion during his 2 day stay. My questions and concerns were welcomed at all hours by this amazing staff. I even received an update on his health during the wee hours of the morning, letting me know his status during the night. I am happy to report that Rocky is now recovering at home. I am so very thankful to have my little guy safely on my lap once again.

I give it one star because it is a nice building otherwise I give them a zero. I went in because I thought my cat was choking. They suggested a X-ray so we did. It wasn’t necessary because I took her back the next day and I told them open her mouth and then they say she needs surgery. I had to wait 3 times the normal because she’s not dying yet. They do not care about animals. They are lazy. Please go elsewhere if you have an emergency. They will let your pet die. They charged me $900 for an X-ray then told me they didn’t know what was wrong with her.

It's been a little over a year since we had to put our sweet Banjo down at Atlantic Street Vet on 12/30/2022. I wrote a review of our experience to Atlantic Street directly, but never got a confirmation they received it nor an acknowledgement of how horrible the experience was. As it is, putting a family pet down is never ever an easy decision I know. But my husband and I did not get the compassion that one would expect from a place like this. And maybe because they deal with it so much on a day to day basis they become immune to it. I wish we would have known and would have kept our sweet Banjo at home instead to pass peacefully and with dignity. There was none of that at Atlantic Street. Please reconsider taking your beautiful pet here. It's not worth the money and memory.
