Dermatology for Animals - San Diego

Dr. Aniya and her team are literally the best. Before we took my dog to their office, my dog had terrible allergies and was so miserable despite us trying multiple medications and vet opinions. I was in a hopeless situation, (medically and Financially as his bills started to pile up), and extremely stressed out. Dr. Aniya is the only doctor we felt truly cared about our pet, and his skin and quality of life have improved immensely since being under her care. The office keep great notes/ records, and you are always picking up where you left off, so time is never wasted. The vet assistants and phone operators are amazing as well. They have been a life saver, and I truly can’t thank them enough. Here is our baby before and after:

Very nice staff, Doctor, Assistant, Front desk are all very nice. They just seemed overwhelmed and there is not enough capacity there. They are often very busy, phone calls, people in lobbies, lots of follow up servicing, and when I call.. It can be really challenging to get through... Which makes a big difference. It's been a huge inconvenience and process to get certain things accomplished.

Took my cat to Dermatology for Animals in La Mesa for a possible ear polyp. Firstly, Vet tech injured his good ear during exam. Dr was apologetic and we were not charged any money for that exam. Dr ended up recommending and scheduled surgery to remove excess skin/flap on his other ear to make it easier to clean and prevent future infections…at a cost of between $1800 and $2800 dollars. Took cat for a second opinion and no surgery was suggested or necessary. Saved a lot of money but more importantly, my cat did not have to be subjected to an unnecessary surgical procedure.

We were so lucky to find D4A! Our canine is allergic to many things, most notably humans (we figure it's fair, as many people are allergic to canines!). While the ongoing treatment for his condition has been excellent, that is not what puts D4A at the top of our list. Last year, we found a mass on our dog's ribcage, and took him in to see Dr. Aniya. Initial testing implied that the mass was cancerous, and, just to be aggressive with it, Dr. Aniya removed as much as she could without surgery. This prompt and timely intervention likely saved our dog's life. I cannot stress how above and beyond that was - this was no small tumor, and she had to exercise a lot of caution. The result, however, was excellent. The oncologist found that the mass (a type that makes tendrils that reach deep into the internals) was completely removed and with good margins on all sides. And, to make matters even better, it took the doctor and my wife about ten minutes to find the site, as there is next to no scarring of any kind. Not bad work for a surgeon, but above and beyond for a dermatologist. Do yourself a favor - if your four-legged loved one has need of dermatology, bring him or her here - you won't regret it.

My cat and I have been clients of Dr. Aniya for approximately 5 months. Dr. Aniya is knowledgeable and kind. She has a lot of experience working with animals that suffer from allergies. Also, she has been really good about calling and updating me. I can tell Dr. Aniya cares about my cat and wants the cat to get better. Regarding Dr. Aniya's staff, they've always been kind and patient with me. Inside, the clinic is clean and orderly. Whenever I've needed an appointment, I've been able to get one within a reasonable amount of time. I trust Dr. Aniya and her team with my cat and recommend Dr. Aniya to anyone whose pet is also suffering from dermatology complications.
