Pets Best is the best
I promise this is a real review. I dont usually write reviews but we are so grateful for our pet insurance right now. Our two year old puppy just didn’t get up one morning and within a day the ER was saying she had a mass that had to be removed for her to get better. We had to decide quickly and so paid for the procedure and three days of related tests and in patient care. I filed a claim with our pet insurer Pets Best and was so relieved when they paid out for 90% of surgery costs within a week of filing. This company did what they said they would with no push back or delays. Our dog is home and doing well and I’m so glad stressing about paying for her care isn’t part of what we’re dealing with.

After 10 years of excellent health, my English Pointer experienced an avalanche of health issues and unexpected accidents this past year. Through it all, Pets Best has handled every single claim promptly, efficiently, and with clear communication. Their platform is easy to navigate, their coverage is straightforward to understand, and their customer service team is knowledgeable and helpful. So helpful during a difficult time
Pet Best has been exceptional during a very difficult time. My 7 year old puppy had to have tplo surgery and got extremely sick after too with a protein losing disease. They have processed all my claims in a fast efficient manner and that has been so helpful during such a difficult time. I really appreciate the timely turn around. Pet Best is wonderful!

I expected a battle like I have with my human insurance. Pets best paid the claim minus the deductible quickly with no aggravation on my part.

A Must Have for Pet Owners!
Without Pets Best Insurance, I would’ve had to re-home my best buddy. Thankfully they pay the majority of her medical bills and I am able to care for her and keep a roof over our heads. I also love their Wisker Docs service. I have referred many of my friends to Pets Best and they, too, are also very happy with so much their service. The only downside is once in while it’s difficult to process claims.

To be honest, I expected a drawn-out argument that would ultimately end in a negative decision, based on a previous insurance claim I had with a different company. Pets Best has far exceeded my expectations. The entire process was simple, straightforward, and ended with a positive outcome. I truly appreciate the way you handled my claim. I’ve already told friends and family how impressed I am with your pricing, and now I have another great experience to share with them. Unexpected kindness after losing my cat
My 8-year-old cat, Blueberry, died suddenly back in Feb 2025. It was a traumatic day, and I avoided submitting the insurance claim (or even removing her from my insurance policy). 18 months later, I was still avoiding the task. I finally submitted the claim, and in less than 24 hours (with no additional information requested), Pets Best paid my claim AND refunded me for all the months I had been paying for Blueberry's insurance after her death. Based on the terms & conditions, I don't think they had any obligation to do either. The kindness they showed with that action meant a lot to me.

PetsBest Review - Would Actually Recommend!
I've been a customer for several years, and have two pets insured. My two main complaints are that I wish it was easier to contact a real person for issues instead of engaging with AI Chatbots, and I wish the process was a bit speedier. That said, if those are the two worst things I can say about an insurance company in 2026, I think that's quite good. I've been very satisfied with all previous claims I've submitted regarding the amount covered, the detail of the EOBs, the claim submission process, the information provided by real live agents when eventually connected with them, and the actual coverage of conditions. I am impressed that I have not had to worry about being "nickel and dimed" for a claim because the condition is covered, so all costs incurred for the condition are covered. One last parting thought, that is not so much a complaint but more so would enhance customer experience, would be if PetsBest made more efforts to connect with our veterinarians regarding the Vet Direct Pay option. Most vets I've encountered and asked to use this option for have been wary because they are unfamiliar with the process, and instead of pushing for more literature due to the usually time-sensitive nature of such large cost vet visits, I have been forced to pay upfront and seek reimbursement through the normal claim process. One strong reason I stay with PetsBest is this Vet Direct Pay option, but I have never actually been able to utilize it. Given that PetsBest has and does connect with my veterinarians in the claim process, I feel it would really benefit us as customers for our veterinarians to be better informed that this option exists. I also feel that if they were more informed on the process, more vet offices would advertise PetsBest and this option to their clients, as it is well-known that many people put off necessary vet visits due to not having the funding upfront to cover these visits.
