Best pet insurance
i’ve already given a Google review, but I would be happy to once again state how pleased I am with Pets Best insurance. Having this insurance was literally a lifesaver for my dog. We have been using this insurance for the last 4 to 5 years and in that time we've had to file an emergency claim, regular check ups, and now that my dog is elderly She is on medication and sees the vet more often. We do have the most expensive coverage however it is well worth it. My dogs medication's are all covered. Her chiropractic visits are covered as well as her red light therapy for her failing hips. If we did not have the insurance we would not have been able to keep her in a comfortable state. The medication alone is hundreds of dollars a month, but without the medication, her quality of life would be very poor. We are very lucky to have this insurance that we are able to give her the best possible care and not stress financially. The fact that the insurance covers 90% has been such a blessing. Although we do have to pay out-of-pocket, we are reimbursed very quickly and usually before my credit card statement is due I've already been reimbursed to pay the credit card. The customer service is also excellent. I would highly recommend anyone with a pet to get insurance with Pets Best insurance.

I’ve had Pets Best insurance since my dog was about 1.5 years old, and overall, I’ve had a very positive experience with them. They have always been great when it comes to processing my claims. There have been a few times when a claim took longer than I expected, but at the end of the day, they reviewed everything fairly, processed the claims correctly, and reimbursement was paid as expected. When I first signed up, the monthly premium was very reasonable. Over the years, the price has definitely gone up quite a bit, but looking back, it has absolutely been worth it for me. In 2024, my dog needed a major surgery that cost around $21,000. Pets Best processed that claim and paid their portion very quickly. Having that coverage during such a stressful and expensive situation made me extremely thankful that I had kept her insured all these years. One thing I think people should understand before signing up is how reimbursement works. In most cases, you pay the veterinarian first (I normally use my credit card), submit the claim and documentation, and Pets Best reimburses you after the claim is reviewed and approved. Some negative reviews seem to come from people expecting the insurance company to pay the veterinarian directly, but pet insurance plans don’t all work that way. Because of that, I always recommend that pet owners understand their policy, deductible, reimbursement percentage, and payment process before they actually need to use it. You should also have some way to cover the upfront veterinary expense while waiting for reimbursement, especially because emergency procedures can be very expensive. After years of coverage and a very large surgery claim, I can say Pets Best has been there when I actually needed them. Despite the premium increases over the years, the coverage has been worth it for my family. I would absolutely recommend Pets Best to friends, family, and other pet owners.
Difficult to get your claims approved
Pets best keeps increasing my premium, I pay about 3 times more than what I paid 3 years ago, also they don't let me change my policy, unfortunately, I'm stuck because all dog's insurance companies are the same, my dog has a condition that would be considered as pre-existing if I change her insurance. Every time I try to submit a claim with Pets Best, they make it harder and change the rules, and they take super long to reimburse if they approve your claim. Customer service is poor and rude. I do not recommend this insurance to anyone, find a company that responds better to claims submitted.

Pets Best is the Best
Our dog started having seizures for which he required emergency care. A subsequent MRI revealed that the cause of the seizures was Valley Fever in his brain. We were able to hospitalize, scan/diagnose, and treat his condition without incurring massive debt thanks to our coverage from Pets Best.
Difficult claims process
Website is hard to navigate, it makes it hard for you to find your documents, it asks for a date pet first saw a provider for the issue whenever you submit a claim which does not make sense for ongoing medications and then denies if the date entered is greater than 180 days ago. After you submit a claim you cannot view the documents submitted which has made it hard to track when my husband and I take turns submitting. And customer service is a joke. Too late for me to change since if I did all issues would become preexisting with the new insurance. Do your research and find somewhere good when your pet is young as pet insurance companies make it impossible to switch

Terrible: DO NOT BUY FIGO Insurance
The fine print and layout of the explanation of the benefits is deceptive. The graphic that summarizes the policy benefits shows two circles - one says $500 deductible, and the other circle says "unlimited". The categories of benefits listed below do not apply to the deductible. ALSO, I was unaware that there was a 181 day deadline to file claims. After spending $716. for one dog, and $657 for my second dog, I am being denied most of my claims because they are "late". My brother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and I am caring for him so I wasn't in any hurry to file my claims. I only learned about this "late" policy by calling the company. The claim summary on the app does not explain this, one just sees "$0" benefit. When you submit an appeal the company they have 5 days to acknowledge the claim, then in 30 day increments they let you know know that things are "in review", until they have made a decision. It is rigged to insure that the company keeps most of your premium. I would have saved money if I hadn't bought these policies.

Please increase wellness coverage and annual benefit
Wellness coverage and annual benefit has stayed the same at $305 and $535 since I joined Pets Best in 2021. I have called customer reps several times and they said corporate will review but nothing has happened. The costs of office visits, vaccines, blood/fecal exams, etc. has all gone up in the last 5 years. Please evaluate and increase the wellness coverage and annual benefit to meet the economy inflation.
Consisten, Clear Claims Process!
I have two dogs and two insurance policies. Whether I am submitting a well-dog or sick-dog claim, the process is always the same. They acknowledge your claim immediately, let you know if it may take longer than expected, and quickly respond (and pay). If your claim is denied, they explain why and tell you how to get in touch with them if you disagree or have questions. I never have questions because they are so thorough!

Excellent service by Pets Best
"My two dogs ended up with situations requiring surgery -- within two weeks of each other. In 60+ years, only once have I had a dog requiring surgery. Then this. The bills were high. (And the recoveries have been very slow). I was so grateful that Pets Best reimbursed me the 80% within two weeks each time. I couldn't have paid for those bills OOP. I hate to think what the consequences would have been."
