DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! My dad has been paying $$hundreds of dollars to insure his beloved service dog. My dad passed recently and I found out he has Never filed a claim for any of his dogs Vet Visits. I have filed 3 claims for this last year and I have gotten nothing but the run around!!! I have had to call again and again and again. They claim the vet did not send a detailed enough invoice. They claim they have called the vet and told them what they need to process the claims. The vet said they have sent them what they asked for more then once like 4 times. Till this day I am still going back and forth with Pets Best Insurance. This is definitely a way to take advantage of Senior Citizens!!! By this time a Senior Citizen would have given up and just not filed a claim at all. A form of senior abuse. Take their money to insure their beloved pets and then make it So difficult to file a claim that they don't!!!! Great profits for Pets Best Insurance!

Hi Dottie, we are sorry to hear of your fatherís passing and the difficulty you are experiencing with your claims. In order to accurately process claims, we require itemized invoices showing the date of service, listed items done during the visit, and proof of payment. Some claims also require medical records for processing. Despite multiple phone calls between Pets Best and Matt at Laguna Vista Small Animal Clinic, we have yet to receive the required information to process your claims. We understand vet clinics are very busy, but without this information, we canít finalize your claims. Please let us know if there is any other questions we can answer for you.

I feel bad for you and understand your frustration in their run around. Pests Best is opposite of their name. I cancelled my policy after reading the 46 complaints with the BBB. I care for my pet too much , to leave in the hands if an incompetent LLC. My first claim, a measly $100 , was denied and closed but they claimed it was due to inadequate medical records they requested. It gets worst because they put your name in a data base to see if you've visited any vets in your area. They claimed I visited a vet that I've never been to and spoke with an employere that doesn't exist and this is after the vet in question actually called them on my behalf. Quite laughable. I got their MO pretty quickly and made the decision to not continue supporting them with my money or give up my valuable time disputing. You have to pick your battles and their not worth it. Karma will get them this year. My advise to you is file a complaint with your state insurance regulation dept. Things have a way of working out.
