Our 3.5 year old schnauzer mix, Max, developed a lump in the corner of his eye a few weeks ago. We immediately brought him to the vet, did a round of antibiotics, and got a quote for a lumpectomy and biopsy in the event that the antibiotics didn't clear everything up (claim 1). Unfortunately, the lump didn't clear up, so we started pro-op blood testing and scheduled the lumpectomy (claim 2 & 3). Especially since HealthyPaws developed their app, our claims experience could not have been simpler. We literally logged into the app, snapped a photo of our itemized bill for each visit and waited to hear from them. After the second claim when through, we received word from a customer service rep, Sabrina (who was fantastic), that they needed Max's medical records. She said we could email her the medical records and anything else related to Max's illness, and she would handle everything from there on out. We submitted Max's records and our last claim (3 in just 3 weeks) the night of Max's surgery, and by the next day were told that our check for 90% of the cost of his procedure was in the mail. With a $50 deductible, and over $800 in vet costs in just 3 weeks, we were seriously relieved! My fiance and I first bought pet insurance because of experiences our friends and family had where high emergency medical costs were sometimes life or death questions for young, otherwise healthy pets. We never wanted to be in that situation, so we did our research and found HealthyPaws. We couldn't be happier with their service and coverage, and have never looked back.

I have had this insurance for 3 yrs on 2 french Bulldogs! I have recommend them to as many people I know with furbabies! To this date 4 family member use them and love them! They help me thru a disc surgery and a cancer surgery and thru out each process they have helped me and followed up after each process. They always send me little emails checking on my babies and with the easy app filing a claim is a 123 step. Highly recommend this pet insurance!!!!!

Within an hour, they got in touch with our vet and the veterinary hospital where we had been referred, got the necessary paperwork sent off, and by the time we walked in for the consult the next AM, had a preapproval for testing. Calvin was seen by a neurologist, underwent an MRI, and was diagnosed with a ruptured cervical disk as the result of degenerative disk disorder. He had the necessary surgery the next AM and spent 3 days in ICU. Trupanion paid for 90% of the total bill after our $100 deductible. Since this was a $6000 procedure, it was a huge savings for us. Trupanion has agreed to cover whatever care is needed should this happen again. That is great piece of mind.

We got a puppy this winter. I began to hear stories from friends about their puppys' accidents and injuries and how they wished they had pet insurance. I spent a good deal of time comparing pet insurances. Healthy Paws offered what I was looking for, including good reviews from its clients. Our puppy was recently diagnosed with cataracts and had to have surgery. Within two weeks, we received a reimbursement check (and a follow-up, well-wishing email) from Healthy Paws for the part they covered. What a relief!

Mabel needed to have 3 tumors removed and I was concerned both about her well being and dealing with filing the claim, this being the first time I have had insurance for my dog. The people who helped me could not have been nicer or more concerned for Mabel, even emailing me just to check on her. Mabel came through her surgery very well and I was reimbursed at the full rate of my plan within two weeks. Thumbs up from me and paws up from Mabel. :-)

We are so happy George is recovering well. He got his staples out last week, and in 5 more weeks gets his xrays. His surgeon has been an angel and didn't charge us for the re-checks or staple removal. I am so in love with healthy paws, I tell all my clients at the vet clinic I work at that it was the best investment I ever made. Our clinic cannot even perform the surgery he needed so had I not gotten George insured, I honestly don't know how we could've saved his leg.

My Bichapoo wasn't feeling well and was coughing. I had to bring her to the emergency veterinarian since my vet had no appointments available for her. I knew my visit wouldn't be too costly since I had Trupanion to back me up. Trupanion handled my claim promptly and in a very friendly manner! I'm very grateful for their service!
