Amazing
I can’t believe how easy this process was. We got to spend time worrying about our pets health rather than how to pay for it and when we would get reimbursed. Trupanion immediately reviewed the claim and we were reimbursed within days. The process was easy using the online account to upload everything.

I have been a customer over 10 years with my pet who has had a chronic health condition. over the years I’ve relied on his coverage to help but my recent claims experience has been unsatisfactory. denying claims outright. applying charges to new diagnoses rather than understanding my pets condition. not impressive & too much like all the other insurance companies I’ve had to deal with.

Temporary exclusions become permanent
We use Embrace for our cats. It has covered our older cat that had hyperthyroidism well, but beware of previous conditions. They have “temporary exclusions” which they say will go away after a year, but they have refused coverage on these conditions even after the temporary exclusion has expired. This has been the case with elevated liver enzymes, conjunctivitis, and upper respiratory infections for both my older cat and my two one year old cats. This might be the norm in the industry, but I find their advertising of “temporary exclusions” underhanded and dishonest.
