I have always found Nationwide to be an excellent company for pet insurance. They process claims quickly, accurately, and fairly. Just used their VetHelpLine for the first time and found that a very useful free service.

We use the VitusVet app to file pet insurance claims with Nationwide, and every time it has been a breeze! The claims process is easy to do, and the turnaround time is fast. We love Nationwide Pet Insurance and recommend it wholeheartedly to all of our family and friends with beloved pets!

I love that I can upload the documents and no longer have to find a fax that I can use for free. This creates a very quick turn around for the claim process. It is less than two weeks (usually just a week) to get the claim resolved the money back in my bank account. I love not waiting for a check in the mail.

My dog went through two TPLO operations, and the claims were easy to file and paid promptly. After a dog has one of these operations, chances are good for a second one to be needed eventually, yet premium increases after the first operation were minimal.

We have had Trupanion for three and a half years. In the beginning the coverage and service was top notch, but over the last year Trupanion’s rates have sky rocketed with their customer service tanking. Quite frankly for the amount of money we have paid per month we could have just opened a savings account and put the money there, and that would have covered all of our little French bulldogs nares/pallet surgery. Our three year old Frenchie has the same procedure two years ago and Trupanion covered all but the & $200 deductible. This time around they paid less than half and the claim process took forever. The customer service agents repeatedly told me they were short staffed for the amount of clients they have added. As a customer I don’t want to hear excuses. We are changing coverage to Nation Wide they have had excellent ratings and the same coverage will cost half of what Trupanion has increased our rates to. Originally we paid $161 for both French bulldogs, and with the rate increase our new monthly bill is $300.

Processing claims has shown a wonderful improvement in time. Which is greatly appreciated.
