NOT RECOMMENDED
I do not recommend Spot Pet Insurance. I got this insurance for my cat from Jan 2023 to Jan 2024. My cat was diagnosed with gingivitis in Dec 2023 and as a result teeth cleaning was prescribed by the vet. It costed me almost $600. And this insurance refused to pay because they believed this is a preventative care. Very unsatisfied and unhappy. I switched to Lemonade insurance. Lower deductible and they got back to you on your claims so quickly and they make it super easy.

I am so.glad that I joined SPOT. After doing lots of research on many pet insurance companies, SPOT is definitely my only choice. The telephone customer service is always exceptional. My first and most recent claim I filed was completed within 2 weeks. An easy, smooth process all the way around.
The insurance coverage that I got for my pup George is excellent and covers a lot. The reimbursement percentage is the highest you will find anywhere. It's definitely a wonderful piece of mind knowing that my fur baby is covered for his medical expenses. From minor procedures, to regular check-ups, to anything major. SPOT is the ONLY way to go!!

Spot on!
So far we couldn't ask for a better insurance company for our baby. They have plans to suit everybody's needs. And all of our claims have been processed in a quick and timely manner.
Monthly Cost
Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). plan costs vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%
Payout Limits
Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option.
No lifetime limits.
Deductible
$100, $250, $500, $750 or $1000 annually.
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered.
Spot Pet Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment.
If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee.
