ACCESS San Fernando Valley

It's never easy to find out your best friend is terminally ill but the staff guided us with compassion, care and understanding. We had to drive 3 hours, each way, to find a neurologist who could see us immediately and I would do it again. If only this team was a little closer to home, I would recommend them to everyone. I don't have a whole lot of time left with my dog but they made him as comfortable as possible. Even sending me a good night picture and kissing him on his furry little head. May you never need their services but if you do, do not hesitate to contact them. Shout out to Ashley at check in and Josh in Neurology. You guys are lovely humans.

We love the team at ACCESS of Woodland Hills. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We see Dr. Hadar for our cat's diabetes and she is wonderful and so are all of her team, especially Kaytee. Their ER staff is terrific too. In an emergency, they have given our pets top-quality care and compassion. They do get busy and may have a wait at the ER for non-life-threatening cases, but it is worth the wait.

I took my dog to the urgent care here because her nail broke off and was excessively bleeding. I was so panicked, and I just drove to the nearest emergency animal hospital. I was impressed with the team’s friendliness and professionalism. They took her in so quickly and went over her care with me, and I was very happy in the end. My baby is doing a lot better now thanks to the staff at ACCESS on the evening of 1/16.

I am extremely satisfied with the service here. The wait time was said to be 3 to 5 hours, but was seen before that. Everyone was so friendly and helpful during the entire process. My dog Peanut was seen by Dr. Gilbert. She was absolutely incredible. Upon check out, they provide you with a summary of your pets visit. It was step-by-step instructions of when she arrived the reason of the visit and how to take care of your dog after which I appreciated. The price is quite expensive, but that’s what you expect to pay when visiting a hospital. Overall the service was excellent and would highly recommend.

After being seen at another emergency vet, my dog needed surgery to remove a foreign body. The vet I was at did not have a surgeon available. They called Access and were assured that they had a surgeon available to do the surgery that evening (he needed it right away as his intestines were showing bunching). I drove my sick dog over 45 miles to access and arrived at 745 pm. I waited until 10 pm to be seen. They wanted to do additional x-rays, which I was told I would not be charged for (they claimed they wanted their own x-rays even though he had x-rays earlier that day and the previous day and they had copies of them). At 1230 am I was told they did not in fact have a surgeon available, and possibly would not have a surgeon available to do his surgery the next day either. I had to check my dog back out, got charged almost $600 for his exam, iv placement, and because they sent out the x-rays I was not supposed to be charged for. Then I had to drive him back to Ventura and check him in at a different vet at 230 am. I have had positive experiences at Access in the past, but this was the worst experience I have ever had at a vet. It was very apparent how little they cared about what they were putting me and my dog through. Very disappointing because Access used to be very good. They will not be on my list of options for future care for my dog, nor will I continue to recommend them to friends.
