9/10   Obamacare should learn from ASPCA Pet Insurance   8/23/2017

I purchased pet insurance for my adopted Chinese Shar-pei and boxer mix (I know for sure who he is since have his DNA tested, don't know his exact age, though, but guessing around 3 y.o.). Pet insurance was for me a piece of mind since I did not know anything about my dog health, history, etc.
Every claim I had submitted wase approved very fast and reasonably. Once when my baby (yes, even 84 lb can be a baby) fell from the stairs ( I forgot to tell you he is a little bit of clumsy) and was limping for two days, I took him to the vet to have his leg x-rayed and treated. It was just a sprain, but the vet prescribed anti-inflammation medication for 10 days. I was really surprised when after one week my claim was approved and I received a call from the ASPCA insurance staff member asking how's Trai limping and if he is feeling better. I wish somebody from my health insurance will ever call me and just out of courtesy ask me how is my leg after series of procedures I had.
Anyway, I am very grateful to ASPCA for everything what they are doing for animals.

I don't know what I would have done without this insurance. I have had other ins. but aspca tops them all.My dog has had anti-freeze poison, pancreatitis, skin cancer and some fatty lumps taken off. And this insurance has helped me more than I can say. Their monthly payments are reasonable, and believe me I shopped around. My precious Jet is still here with me,because ASPCA ins. helped me save him. Thank You hard workers at ASPCA!!

8/10   Purchasing Peace of Mind
I had this coverage on my Lab/Chow mix, Angel, for ten years. The renewal premiums always seemed reasonable to me for the coverage provided. I was purchasing peace of mind. If there was an accident, or when she was hospitalized for two weeks with pancreatitis at the end, I knew that at least some portion of my expenses would be recovered. I submitted several claims over the years, including two ACL… read more

9/10   Tom and Ollie
At one time my wife and I had two guys insured with Petshealth Care Plan Insurance. We lost Thomas about two years ago, but Oliver is still insured. Ollie doesn't seem to have the problems that Tom did, but as a soon-to-be nine-year-old standard poodle, he has his share of maladies, the current one being an extremely sensitive stomach. As an insurance agent (property and casualty), I appreciate good… read more

10/10   Thankful for ASPCA Pet Health Insurance
I decided to get pet insurance after adopting my dog Tripp from a shelter last year. My previous dog had died from lung cancer which cost me thousands of dollars out of pocket. I did an internet search for pet insurance companies and compared plans and rates before deciding to go with ASPCA Health Insurance in June 2009. In May 2010, Tripp was bitten by a poisonous snake and required medical treatment… read more

6/10   Great for senior pets
Although I have had a couple of negative experiences with Petshealth, I must say that they seem to be the ONLY pet insurance company willing to insure older pets. They will insure dogs up to 13 years and cats up to 15 years. They will even insure the pet with their top plan, regardless of age, if there are no pre-existing conditions. I have a 13 year-old cat who has never been sick a day in his life. I… read more
