| | 3/10 Doesn't take much to become a 'risk' |
| We've had Petsecure insurance for a year and submitted claims for two emergency surgeries (foreign object ingestion) and a skin condition that has actually now started to clear up. Our Great Dane is now over a year old and things seem to be settling out in a sense. However, upon the semi-annual 'risk review', we were thrown into the high risk group and were dropped from 80% coverage to 50%. In their letters to customers, Petsecure likes to promote their showcase examples of 'top claim' high payouts, but those are all single case scenarios. The company is very good at quick claim processing and will rapidly approve and pay initial or periodic claims; we were initially very happy with Petsecure. Rest assured if you submit more than a couple of claims, you too will quickly become a risk to their profits...and their shareholders. We are now disappointed in Petsecure, and are shopping around for a different company that won't penalize their customers for accessing benefits. |

| 1/10 Incredibly Upset |
| Similar to other posters I received a letter yesterday notifying me that my co-insurance would be bumped to 70% because I have made too many claims in the last little while.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Pet secure prides themselves on their "Secure for Life Guarantee" which states "we promise to our customers that their pet will never run out of coverage and that their pet's premiums won't rise. we also guarantee that as long as you remain a petsecure member you can continue to maintain your pet's existing coverage year after year after year,"
According to this my coverage should stay at 80% should it not?
I got pet insurance to protect myself and my dog in the event of unforeseen emergencies. Now that I have had to make use of it I am being penalized.

| 10/10 I love Petsecure! |
| Both of my Bernese Mountain Dogs are secured with Petsecure as well as my Siberian Cat. I would never use a different insurance company as Petsecure has always gone above and beyond for me.
Wylie has a slew of congenital defects and every claim that I've submitted has been processed efficiently and there have never been any questions.
Bentley was a rescue and came to em at 3 years old. Petsecure insured him right away and there have been no issues yet - thank goodness!
I have Secure 4 for both dogs, which includes preventative health (exams, blood work, fecals, sentinel etc) and I think it's definitely worth every penny and my peace of mind.
Thanks Petsecure! |

| 10/10 Quick Payout, Reliable Company! |
| Our cat Howard ingested toxic peace lily and he had to stay for 2 ½ days in the emergency veterinary hospital. He was on fluid therapy, IV and other medications to help the toxins pass from his blood stream and kidney levels.
Getting a $770 bill from the vet wasn’t exactly something we had planned for, but we filled out the Petsecure claim form and sent it in right away for reimbursement. The last thing we wanted was a huge bill on our credit card. I was honestly expecting the cheque to take a couple of weeks to get to us but it was only 3 business days! I couldn’t believe it…
It was nice to have over half of the cost covered by Petsecure and so quickly! The claim form was easy to understand and faxing it in was simple. If you’re looking for a no-hassle way to get great coverage (renews annually…so if this ever happens again (hopefully NOT) he would be covered) and an insurance company that looks out and cares about their members, then get your pets enrolled with Petsecure. |

| 10/10 Great Service |
| We had always passed on pet insurance in the past viewing the purchase quite cynically. Our beloved 16 year old cocker Sam passed away two years ago and in light of the extraordinary expenses incurred in his geriatric care, we decided our next dog would be insured. Our vet recommended Petsecure for, Friday, a beautiful chocolate American Cocker. Thank goodness -- treating his skin problems associated with his allergies has, since January, already cost in excess of $1,000.
You can fax the necessary receipts and form to Petsecure and expect reimbursement within two weeks. It's easy, painless, and takes the sting out of the vet's bill. We would wholeheartedly recommend this plan. |

| 1/10 Beware of PetSecure |
| Let me start by saying that I insured two cats with PetSecure and have been paying in and around $80 / month total in premiums. One cat, Spike, was insured on the very first day I brought him home from the breeder...
From the very beginning I started getting notices in the mail saying my premiums were going up, or going down, then going up again. I received another notice saying coverage for dental was going down. Dental was one of the big reasons I got pet insurance to begin with.
Spike got sick with respiratory issues about a year ago. Refund came in as promised for that first time claim for Spike. I was happy, was telling all my friends how great PetSecure was.
About a month ago his illness returned. I had a largish vet bill, around $900 for this illness, in total. I submitted my claim and got a refund for $350. Now, I'm not an expert at math, but this is NOT a 20% co-pay. I called the customer service and was told that my co-pay went up to 50% because I was in their top ten the year before with a claim of about $1400 for Spike's first illness.
PetSecure *might* be good if your pet never gets too sick, or if they only get sick once. But once you make a claim, watch out because you're on their radar and will find yourself paying 50% of your vet bill, you premium, and your deductible.
So, not only would I never ever recommend this company again to anyone as I have in the past, I have now gone to my friends who signed up because I recommended this company, and have told them to beware and look into other pet insurance options. |

| 10/10 EXTREMELY SATISFIED |
| My 7 year old Labrador was diagnosed with cancer 4 weeks ago. One week after the diagnosis, my dog was scheduled for surgery. On the morning of his scheduled surgery, the poor dog was in such bad shape, the vet was reluctant to perform the operation. She doubted the dog would survive the surgery. She said that treatment would cost over $4000, and was concerned about running up a huge bill in the face of very poor odds for survival. Since I had insurance, we decided to give surgery a try, and hope for the best. Four weeks after surgery, my dog is making a remarkable recovery. The vet is even surprised at how well he is doing. All the follow-up test are quite promissing. I believe Petsecure insurance saved my dog. Without insurance, I doubt we would have proceeded with the costly treatment. I received my insurance check today, less that 2 weeks after making a huge claim. I was paid every penny that I was due, under my plan's conditions. I am quite impressed, and relieved that I had Petsecure insurance.

| 10/10 PetSecure has saved our puppy Sasha |
| Sasha is a 9 month old Wheaton Terrier and she has had quite a long and detailed health history in her short lifetime. When she was 4 months old she had surgery for ectopic uretors and at 8 months she needed to have her right kidney removed. The poor dog has been though so much and I am sure you can appreciate how costly all of these surgeries and procedures have been. Without PetSecure Insurance this puppy would probably not be alive today as there would be no way we could have afforded everything she has been through thus far. The best decision we have made was to insure her at the highest available plan with unlimited coverage. PetSecure has been fantastic the whole way through and has covered all of the costs 80% in a very timely and professional manner. They are always friendly, caring and empathetic when I have had to call them and would recommend PetSecure to everyone. We also have another Wheaton Terrier who thankfully does not have health issues we also insured him at the highest level as a puppy but after he turned one we were able to lower his coverage for one of the lesser plans with ease. You truly hope that your pet will never be ill and that you never have the need for this type of insurance but we attest that we are so grateful and thankful for PetSecure who were there when we needed them and that having the insurance in place made it possible to take all of the steps necessary to make our precious puppy Sasha better because truly without PetSecure Sasha probably would not be alive today. |
