9/10 Thank Goodness for Petplan
We got Max from a shelter as a 3 month old puppy. We didn't know his backgroud but we knew we had to get some pet insurance. I've had dogs before when I was growing up and never would consider such a thing. But as a adult, I am a true believer that pet insurance is the way to go. When we brought Max home from the shelter from day one we he was going to be a big problem because he had parvo. After we got him well from that terrible disease, I started looking around for some insurance. It took me a couple of weeks to compare, but I truly believe I made the right choice. Max recently was hit by a car and we had to rush him to the emergency hospital. We were just praying that he would make it and I told the doctor to just get him well. We had pet insurance in place so we were not sure if it was going to be there for us. So after Max was released. We filed our claim, submitted the proper documentation and VIOLA a check came in the mail. I was absolutely thrilled. I have told several people that Petplan is on the one. At this time we are very happy with Petplan and I would recommend it to anyone who has a pet that they care about.

10/10 READ THIS!!
| After shelling out some serious cash for an emergency vet visit last year, I started my research on pet insurance. Like you, my research lead me to this site and a host of pet forums and stuff. After comparing the plans in great detail for several months, I signed up for PetPlan.
Our family went on vacation last month and we left our dog in the capable hands of a local upscale kennel. When we returned home, she had a running nose. The kennel said that some of the dogs were experiencing the same symptoms, buy nothing to worry about - keep an eye on it. Our dog's condition gradually worsened. She was stumbling on the lawn and fell over when we went for a walk. I immediately called the vet hospital and she was admitted. She was treated for 4 days with IV antibiotics and oxygen. According to the vet, she had contracted CIV which progressed into Pneumonia. She's doing very well now. and so is my WALLET thanks to PetPlan.
The total vet bill was over $3500. As per my plan, I was reimbursed EVERY SINGLE PENNY less my $100 deductable. I will admit that after reading all the horror stories from the other insurance carriers, I was somewhat apprehensive about making the commitment to buy the plan. I was also wondering whether PetPlan would honor the terms of the policy if, god forbid, something happens. I'm writing this review to let everyone else know that PetPlan pays, without any hassled, red tape, phone calls or emails.
PetPlan is the one. Now go buy it!

10/10 Exceptional Service!!
Peaches, my 2 year old cockapoo, consumed several pieces of sugarless gum, containing xylitol, which is toxic to dogs. My family was devastated, as was I, not just from the threat to Peaches' health, but also because of the financial hardship this could cause. Fortunately, I had enrolled in Petplan, after researching several companies, and after a previous hospitalization which cost $2500! At that time, I became aware of the potential expense/hardship an illness or accident could cause. Fortunately, Peaches' condition treatable and she remained hospitalized for two days. Upon her discharge, the veterinarian's office faxed the claim form and invoice to Petplan. I received an email confirming receipt of the claim. Within a week, the claim was processsed and I had a check reimbursing me for 90% within two weeks of the incident. All I could think was, "Is this for real"?. What incredible, prompt service! It was also great because I could access my account on their website and check on the status. Prior to my filing of the claim, I had told several friends about my obtaining pet insurance, however, never having made a claim, I could not vouch for Petplans'service. Having had such a great experience, I am now telling all of my pet owning friends about Petplan. While I hope I never have to call on Petplan again, it gives me extreme peace of mind knowing that they are there in times of need. Thank you, Peptplan

10/10 Pleased
Our Bichon-Poo Bon Bon got into rat poison in our garage while we were away for the day. We noticed the empty packets when we came home and even though she appeared to be fine, we took her to the emergency vet where they induced vomiting and gave her active charcoal and fluids, and she was fine. We submitted a claim which was promptly and fairly paid. It's more expensive for older dogs than the other popular plan, but the pay-out and service are much better.

10/10 I can love my dog thanks to PetPlan
My family had been wanting a dog for years. My husband was very set against it because he said it was just too much of an expense. I told him the dogs we had when we were growing up never had any problems and hardly went to the Vet. My children and I finally got the nerve to tell him we had to get this beautiful West Highland Terrier we had been visiting at the pet store. He wasn't happy and we did get her but of course he loved her at first sight but swore he would not help with any bills. It was our responsibility. This scared me greatly because if there would be a major problem I knew on my income I would not be able to handle it. This is when I decided to look for pet insurance and chose PetPlan. I took the Bronze Plan with the highest deductible to keep the cost down with the hopes that little Adrienne would not get sick and I would not have to pay the $200 deductible very often. Just the well visits and vaccinations alone were very expensive. At 5 months old Adrienne became very sick. It took 4 days of treatments at the Vet hospital until she was diagnosed with Addision's Disease. My very first bill was over $400.00. The remainder of the bills over $900.00. To this day my husband has kept that promise to not pay any animal related bills. Adrienne requires frequent visits, sometimes 2 to 3 times a month to get this disease under control. She also requires a monthly injection and medication by mouth every day. I can't imagine what I would have done without PetPla

10/10 Great Company!
My 10 month old kitten was diagnosed with FIP and passes away. It was one of the saddest days of my life. Vet bill were close to $1,000 for hospitalization and testing. PetPlan paid the entire claim less the deductable within 1 week with no hassles and they even refunded me the unused premiums. They even set me a sympathy card. Highly recommend.

All I can say is that insuring Dirty Harriet Callahan with Petplan makes me seem like a genius to other K-9 handlers! Driving to the Vet with a bleeding puppy's ear with a corner torn off, incrdible stress; 2+ hours of surgery and 31 stitches to repair my K-9's ear, $767.05; the confidence in knowing that your K-9 is safe no matter what could possibly happen to them, priceless.
